Terms and Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Makist for using makist.app and for buying from it.

By using makist.app or placing an order, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.

Who we are

What we sell

Makist sells craft Projects. Each Project is a finished craft made by a real creator. When you buy a Project you get every Supply needed to make it, delivered together in one box at one price. After you pay, the step-by-step guide for your Project opens on its page.

The guide is for your own personal use. Photos on the website show the finished craft; what you make by hand will look a little different, and colours can vary slightly from what you see on your screen.

Your account

You can order as a guest or with an account. You sign in with a code sent to your phone number. Please give correct contact and delivery details, and keep your phone and sign-in codes to yourself: orders placed with your number are treated as yours. You must be 18 or older to place an order, or order with a parent or guardian.

Orders and prices

  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹). You see the price of each Project, the delivery charge and the total before you pay.
  • Your order is confirmed once your payment goes through. You then get an order number, which you can use on the Track order page.
  • A Project can only be bought while its Supplies are in stock. If we cannot send something you paid for, we will tell you and refund the amount for it to the source you paid from.
  • If a price or a listing is shown wrongly by mistake, we may cancel that order and refund it in full.

Payment

You can pay online through Razorpay, with UPI, a card or net banking, or in cash when your order is delivered. Your payment details are handled by Razorpay; we do not store your card or bank details.

Delivery

We deliver within India. Delivery is free on orders of ₹1,500 and above. Below that, delivery is ₹100 for up to 5 items, plus ₹50 for every 5 items after that. Ready-to-ship orders are shipped within 24 hours, except on Sundays and public holidays, and the estimated delivery time is 3 to 14 working days. Delivery times are estimates and can be longer because of the courier, the weather or other things outside our control. The full details are in the Shipping policy.

Returns and refunds

You can return your order within 7 days after receiving it, unused and in its original condition and packaging. We offer a free pick-up, and the refund goes back to the source you paid from within 7-10 days of the return. The full details are in the Return policy.

Using craft supplies safely

Some Supplies, such as resin, glue, sharp tools and hot tools, need care. Please read the instructions on the pack and in the guide, and supervise children while they craft. You are responsible for how you use the Supplies.

What you post

You may be able to post Projects, photos of what you made and other content on Makist. What you post stays yours. By posting it, you allow Makist to show it on the website and app and in our marketing. Only post content that is your own or that you have the right to use.

You must not post anything that:

  • is unlawful, abusive, obscene or misleading;
  • copies someone else's work or uses their name, photo or brand without permission;
  • is spam, or advertises something unrelated to the Project.

We can remove content and close accounts that break these rules. If you think something on Makist copies your work, write to [email protected] and we will look into it.

Our content

The Makist name and logo, the design of the website and the guides are owned by Makist or by the creators who made them. You may use them for your own personal crafting. You must not copy, resell or republish them without written permission.

Using the website

Please do not misuse makist.app: do not try to break into it, overload it, copy its data in bulk with automated tools, or use it for fraud. We try to keep the website working and correct, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have as a consumer under Indian law. Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect losses or for delays and failures caused by things outside our reasonable control.

How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy policy.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be subject to the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page applies to orders placed while it is shown here.
